BIRDMAN RELEASES NEW SINGLE “PLAQUES” FEATURING YOUNG GREATNESS IN HONOR OF THE LATE RAP ARTIST!!

Today, GRAMMY® Award-nominated hip-hop icon and Cash Money Records Co-Founder and C.E.O. Bryan “Birdman” Williams aka Baby releases a new single “Plaques” featuring Young Greatness. The song arrives on the two-year anniversary of Young Greatness’s untimely 2018 passing, commemorating the gold-selling New Orleans rapper’s memory and adding another chapter to his legacy.  Get it HEREvia Cash Money Records.

Young Greatness was up next,” states Birdman“He had all of the signatures of a superstar from the talent and the presence to the songs. The rap game suffered a major loss when he left us way too soon. We want to do everything we can to celebrate his memory. His legacy lives on in the music he recorded.”

Produced by multi-platinum sensation DRok [YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Juvenile], “Plaques” sees Birdman weave together smooth and slick verses before carrying the hypnotic hook, “Plaques on my wall, Cash Money sunshine.Meanwhile, a posthumous melodic guest spot from Young Greatness gives another glimpse at his overwhelming talent.

“I think ‘Plaques’ is the perfect representation of what Young Greatness could do,” adds Birdman“Like all great artists, the moment you hear his voice, you know it’s him.”

By the time he landed his dream deal with Cash Money Records in 2017, Young Greatness had already earned an RIAA gold plaque for the smash single “Moolah” as well as the recognition of ForbesNoiseyThe FaderComplex, and more between releasing standout mixtapes such as 2015’s I Tried To Tell Em and 2016’s I Tried To Tell Em 2.  However, his road twisted and turned down an unbelievable path—from NFL prospect to Katrina survivor to convict to underground star—before he reached that point. He passed away on October 29, 2018, but the music still preserves his memory.
