DJ Khaled’s brand new album Suffering From Success rolls into stores and all digital outlets October 22nd.
This marks his seventh full-length and third for We The Best Music/Cash Money Records. It’s also shaping up to be his biggest yet. Once again, the Grammy Award-nominated multi-platinum artist, producer, mogul, and We The Best Music Group C.E.O. has brought together hip-hop heavy hitters and rap royalty for a musical tour de force loaded with one anthem after another.
Led by the gold-selling smash “No New Friends” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross, Khaled kicked off this campaign in regal fashion. The hit was followed up by the seductive and simmering single “I Wanna Be With You” featuring Nicki Minaj, Future, and Rick Ross. It’s a club-fit banger, boasting formidable verses from Minaj and Ross as well as a seismic hook from Future. Already, its music video has racked up over 700K YouTube/VEVO views in less than a month.
Suffering From Success also includes features by such music heavy weights such as T.I., Puff Daddy, Swizz Beats, Meek Mill, and Rick Ross for the epic “I Feel Like Pac / I Feel Like Biggie,” while Lil Wayne blazes right through the irresistible “No Motive.” “I’m Still” feels massive with its Chris Brown chorus and verses from Wale, Wiz Khalifa, and Ace Hood—representing We The Best Music Group. Also representing the label, Mavado delivers pure fire on “Give It All To Me” also featuring Nicki Minaj.
Success is a way of life for Khaled and all involved. Khaled is the visionary behind We The Best Music Group, which includes a record label, a management company [We The Best Management], a publishing company [We The Best Publishing], a production company [We The Best Producers], and its own full-fledged studio. To date, he has sold over 14 million singles and garnered 2008 BET Award for Best Collaboration as well as 2008 MVP of the Year and 2010 DJ of the Year at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. His first Grammy Award nomination arrived for the platinum-selling “I’m On One” featuring Drake, Rick, Ross, and Lil Wayne, which also topped the Billboard Hot 100. All the while, he’s maintained his profile on-air and even served as the President of Def Jam South.
